Last weekend was my youngest's 4th birthday and she made a special request... a Cinderella cake.
After searching high and low and not wanting to spend a fortune, I decided to raise to the challenge and make my own. I should at this juncture mention that I've NEVER made a birthday cake before. I'm ok with cheese cakes, and lemon cakes, but the thought of decorating a cake, fills me with dread!
Here's the result...
She had two parties planned... One small one on her birthday and the second, for all her friends. I had a plan, I'd make the same cake twice and then we were good! But... nooooo... DD had other plans! She told me after the first one that she loved the cake, but could the next one be Rapunzel?!
I mean! Pfft! Like I hadn't enough to do!!!!
So, not one to be defeated, I went back into planning mode for her Rapunzel cake. Here's the result of that...

So, now you've seen my first two attempts at cake making - would I do it again? Possibly! I really enjoyed it, but can honestly say I have no idea how people make money from doing this - it's so time consuming!
