I thoroughly enjoy watching American TV shows such as 24 for the action and suspense they contain. I am a huge Kiefer Sutherland fan so much so I own all the TV series of 24 on DVD and I'm gathering DVDs of movies he's been in. I am also currently into Falling Skies on Sky about aliens taking over the world and killing humans...

On the contrary, I do enjoy good British programmes, amongst my favourites are/have been Spooks, Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes, New Tricks amongst many others. There are few ITV programmes that have caught my imagination (Except Doc Martin and the oldies like Heartbeat and The Royal).

I just wondered where do you lie, are you loyal to the British TV industry or do you enjoy a bit of action packed 24 etc?

I think I was meant to be American!

The only British programme I think I watch is Casualty. Everything else is American. My current favs are:

The Big Bang Theory
Body of Proof
Desperate Housewives
Dexter
Bones
Glee (erm... my daughter likes that ;) )
House
Nikita

Although I like "Episodes" too which is a mix of English/American - not sure where that falls?

Previous favs included Charmed, Buffy, Angel - oh I could go on and on LOL

I'm not really a big fan of TV programmes (it's on in the background more than anything) but there have been a few that I've tried to watch without fail. And they are all british!

Holby City (and Casualty if i remember)
Downton Abbey
Dr Who (though not since David left)

I do watch One Tree Hill every morning, purely coz there's nothing else on (6am whilst getting ready for work!)

Oh.. but something I do love right now is Masterchef Australia.. neither or though hey :)
